The Chopin Connection offers a rare insight into the piano works of Chopin, connecting much loved repertoire with little-known compositions from two of Chopin's pupils from the Rothschild Family, Charlotte (1825-1899) and Mathilde (1832-1924). The aim of this two volume collection is to champion two immensely gifted women composers whose pieces reflect a particular voice and style and simultaneously reveal new facets in the teaching of their admired mentor.
