Delicate Steve's debut album Wondervisions was critically hailed across the board--from a lead review in The New York Times, to NPR, to blogs like Stereogum and The Fader. The record made a minor ripple but those who heard it fell in love with it. It made NPR's year end list, and made Delicate Steve a favorite among a cadre of bands including Yeasayer, Ra Ra Riot, Akron Family, and Dirty Projectors-- many of whom either brought the band on the road with them, or went out of their way to turn folks on to the burgeoning instrumental unit.
