"Celebrating the 60th year of this landmark album. Includes bonus LP featuring 6 tracks never before available on vinyl".
The official Record Store Day website referred to the title of this release as "Mingus Ah Um Redux".
The statement about the bonus LP is incorrect, as C1 to C3 were previously available on vinyl on Nostalgia In Times Square / The Immortal 1959 Sessions (1979), and D1 to D3 were released on vinyl on The Complete 1959 CBS Charles Mingus Sessions (1993).
Limited to 2000 Copies.
Outside of the US this release was released on Record Store Day- Drop #2, September 26th, 2020.
In the US this release was released on Record Store Day- Drop #3, October 24, 2020.
