Johnny Kemp's big hit on his second album was, "Just Got Paid," which has been absorbed into the general vernacular. He scored a number one R&B hit with it, but unfortunately peaked as an artist once it faded. The single was also noteworthy in that it was one of the first big hits co-produced by Teddy Riley, who went on to become an influential figure in new jack swing R&B.
